TABASCo provides defense acquisition strategy consulting services to clients seeking business opportunities with Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR). With a base of operations in California, Maryland, TABASCo supports both U.S.-based and international clients, both established businesses and startups, seeking defense acquisition expertise. Other areas of expertise include business strategy development, opportunity and proposal support, and executive leadership coaching.

Originally from Staten Island, New York, Founder and President, Tracy Barkhimer started her consulting business in 2019 after three years working as a Boeing Representative to NAVAIR, as the Program Executive Officer responsible for managing the Unmanned Aviation and Strike Weapons and Vertical Lift programs. Prior to that, Tracy spent two years as Director for Navy & Marine Corps Programs with Lone Star Analysis. A former Navy helicopter pilot, Tracy spent 20 years working as a defense acquisition professional.

Based in Southern Maryland since 1996, Tracy completed her final tour with the United States Navy in 2014 as Major Defense Acquisition Program Manager, Air Combat Electronics at NAVAIR. She earned a bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from State University of New York Maritime College, and a master of science degree (MS) in Aviation Systems from the University of Tennessee Space Institute (UTSI).
